How to Use Using Nellie's Laundry Soda is simple – just add one tablespoon per regular load. Follow the garment care instructions and always test on fabrics that may bleed or fade. Despite the small scoop size, the formula is highly concentrated and powerful, so a little goes a long way.

Nellie's Laundry Soda is safe for use in both standard and high-efficiency (HE) washing machines. For HE machines, we recommend adding the Soda directly to the drum with your clothes, as the newer machines may not have enough water pressure to fully clear the detergent from the dispensers.

Why Powder? Powder detergents are more efficient than traditional liquid formulas. Liquid detergents are typically made up of at least 50% water, which Nellie's believes is not a wise use of resources. By using a powder, we can pack more cleaning power into a smaller space, requiring only one tablespoon per load.
